The stone walls remember what they were built to do. Something else remembers too. And whatever woke up inside that lighthouse has been waiting a very long time.

The Abandoned Lighthouse Isle is a battle map set at the edge of a rugged coastline where land surrenders to sea, and the architecture of civilization is slowly losing that argument. The lighthouse structure — octagonal, storm-scarred, and barely standing — sits surrounded by massive coastal boulders and crashing surf. What draws the eye immediately is the floor of the central chamber: a glowing arcane compass rose, its eight-pointed sigil burning deep orange and red against the stone, radiating something that is definitely not natural light and definitely not dormant. Whatever sealed power this lighthouse once channeled, something has disturbed it.

The walkways and approach corridors are cluttered with broken crates, rotted debris, and the kind of nautical refuse that accumulates in places no one has been maintaining for a very long time. The corners of the structure offer elevated tactical positions — jagged with disused equipment and exposed to the biting sea wind. Every approach route funnels movement toward that central chamber, and everything about that chamber says: stop before you reach it.

What's on the map:

- Octagonal lighthouse structure with full interior walkway ring
- Central chamber with massive glowing arcane compass rose set piece
- Four corner defensive positions with broken equipment and elevated sight lines
- Primary approach walkway and dock at the south entrance
- Coastal boulder formations at all four outer corners
- Crashing ocean water surrounding the full structure
- Scattered interior debris — crates, kelp, nautical wreckage
- Multiple chokepoint corridors ideal for ambush and pursuit

Intended Use:

The Abandoned Lighthouse Isle is built for mystery, supernatural horror, and high-stakes combat in equal measure. As an exploration encounter, it rewards players who approach cautiously — every room in the approach ring tells a piece of the story before they reach the compass rose. As a combat encounter, the chokepoint walkways and elevated corner positions create a tactical puzzle that favors defenders and punishes reckless charging. The arcane compass rose is a ready-made MacGuffin: a ritual site being activated by something the party needs to stop, a navigation artifact sought by a faction with bad intentions, or a seal holding something beneath the island that should stay beneath the island. It works in coastal campaigns, nautical adventures, and any story that needs a location with the feeling of something ancient gone wrong.
